Just a short note to share my FIRST bear sighting in Arizona...it took 25 yrs!
On Saturday night, July 31st at about 2am heading North on rte 87 approx. a mile South of Pine and see 2 red eyes glaring at me up ahead. It gave a different look from all the usual elk we see on 87. As I approach the figure (in my car!)...it's a BEAR!!!...way cool -
She/he just kinda moseyed off...on all fours and about the size of a full grown St. Bernard. I've talked w/ Winslow hunters who've seen bear up on the rim but never down below.
It made my trip!
