We are looking for an intrepid crew to help with:
Lee's Ferry Invasive Exotic Eradication
Join us for a 3-day adventure at beautiful Lee's Ferry, September 24-26th!
Our crew will be eradicating two different invasive exotic species-the Russian olive tree and Ravenna grass, as well as conducting additional exotic plant surveys in the vicinity. Camping accommodations will be at the Lee's Ferry campground on Friday and Saturday night and all meals will be provided (including snacks and pack lunches).

BACKGROUND
Grand Canyon National Park is looking for motivated, enthusiastic individuals to work as short-term volunteers with the park's Inner Canyon Vegetation Program. These positions are sponsored and led by the Science Center of the Grand Canyon National Park, performing within boundaries of the Park including remote backcountry locations as well as the primary trail corridors and high use areas in the inner canyon.
As a volunteer, you will be responsible for carrying out the implementation plans for vegetation management and monitoring projects as described in the Park's approved General Management
and Resource Management Plans, under guidance of National Park Service (NPS) Management Policies (2001).
The work involves vegetation inventory, vegetation mapping, camp / attraction site restoration, invasive plant species removal, and public education through visitor interactions.
