Rebecca Garrett, Program Coordinator at Nature Conservancy writes:

Hart Prairie Naturalists,
It's hard to believe we are looking toward the end of the season at Hart Prairie. You all have been such an important part of the success this year, even through renovation and construction!

As we wind down, I wanted to let you know of some opportunities to both lead the remaining walks this year and help with some conservation work on our coming work weekend:

Work Weekend:
Please don't feel you have to spend the night--although you are welcome to if you'd like. I thought we could get the bulk of the folks together on Saturdays to prepare for a prescribed burn we'll be doing in the fall. We would love to have you! Please let me know if you would like to participate. Also, feel free to invite a friend!

Enjoy the high country while making a difference! Tasks include fencing, trail work, invasives removal, fire protection, and more. Advance registration is required, and limited lodging is available. Volunteers who wish to camp can do so on adjacent Forest Service property. E-mail Rebecca Garrett at rgarrett@tnc.org or call (928) 774-8892 x5 for more information.
