Volunteers for Outdoor Arizona are having a busy weekend of projects at Montezuma's Well National Monument on Saturday and Sunday, 2-3 April. This is an encore event of restorations and improvements by this volunteer organization. See detail and links below:
VoAZ will complete various improvements at the Monument including runoff control, removal of unneeded structures and debris, and removal of invasive weeds (Malta Starthistle). Volunteers will construct drain dips and make other modifications around the walkways by the Well to check the erosion and eliminate/discourage social trails. We will be removing a flagstone patio located adjacent to the ancient irrigation canal, and about 1/3 mile of barbed wire fence. We need 24 volunteers.
