RE-Mark your calendars now.
As Master Naturalists, you may recall from your climatology training that on top the Mogollon Rim, we are statistically more likely to have snow on April 1st than on Christmas.
With due respect to any more blizzards or deluges, on Thursday, April 14th, (NOTE THE NEW DATE AND TIME!!) the Master Naturalist classes of 2003 and 2004 will gather at 2:00 on the north side of I-40, where it intersects with Flagstaff Ranch Road for a little highway clean-up and weed removal.

Master Naturalists are sponsors of this 2 furlong section of road and it requires our attention.
Yes, thats right, a class volunteer function. After group hug, let's take this highway by storm! It will be a great opportunity to hobnob with members of classes with whom you have yet to hob or nob ("Hob or nob." It's in Websters---check it out).
Recent reconnaissance looks like both litter and weeds are relatively low density.
Bring the usual assortment of outdoor necessities: hat, water, sunscreen, snacks, gloves, sturdy shoes, flamethrower... See you there!
PS. After-Cleanup refreshments and conversation at the Terra and Perry Cramptons'. Terra is our "Straw Boss" for this event, having received the requisite training from ADOT. Directions to the Cramptons', only a short distance, will be provided at the cleanup.
