Texas Master Naturalist Program Wins Award

The Texas Master Naturalist Program recently received the Wildlife Management Institute's Presidents' Award, a national-level recognition, during annual ceremonies held in Chicago, Ill.

The program, jointly sponsored by the Texas Parks and Wildlife Department and the Texas Agricultural Extension Service, consists of citizens who provide education, outreach and service toward natural resources within their communities. The Presidents' Award honors a North American public agency division, office or collaboration that has demonstrated exceptional creativity and tenacity. The Texas Master Naturalist program and its volunteers were selected for their unique approach, exceptional initiative and widespread success in improving public understanding and appreciation of natural resources and resource management.
