Greetings Arizona Master Naturalists!
First, the September Spotlighting Event was quite a success due to all the effort of those involved. A minimum of 28 different ferrets were seen, 14 of which we were able to trap, eight females and six males. Out of the eight females, six of these were possibly lactating!
We are now gearing up for our 19-21 October Spotlighting Event. This is a smaller effort and space is limited. If you would like to attend, please respond as soon as possible to be assured of a spot. October is a great month to go spotlighting; kits will be dispersing from mom, so we should see lots of activity.
If you are able to join us on the nights of October 19th – 21st, please send an e-mail (this is preferred) toazferret@azgfd.gov
Upon confirmation of your attendance an e-mail will be sent with the details of the event.
Thank you!
