Earth Day Volunteer Event
Coconino County Parks and Recreation and the Coconino Rural Environment Corps would like to extend an invitation for everyone to attend their Earth Day 2006 volunteer event and celebration at Fort Tuthill County Park. Festivities will begin at 9:00 in the Cochise Ramada--just follow the signs!
Anyone interested in spending their Earth Day cleaning and preparing the park for fire season should attend. There will also be several informative presentations on Firewise principles and forest health issues by representatives of the Flagstaff Fire Department, Ecological Restoration Institute, Greater Flagstaff Forest Partnership, and, of course, Parks and Rec. and CREC staff and members.
If you are interested, be sure to come prepared with closed-toed shoes, sun screen, plenty of water, and work gloves. We will provide the snacks and beverages.
