
The Public Lands Interpretive Association is looking for interpretive specialist volunteers to give evening programs and nature hikes to campground visitors in the vicinity of Williams, Arizona between May 22 and September 7th, 2006.
Available Opportunities
• Friday and Saturday evening interpretive programs in Kaibab Lake and Dogtown Lake campground amphitheaters.
• Friday and Saturday afternoon nature hikes at Dogtown and Whitehorse Lake campgrounds
• Additional programs on holiday weekends
• Other opportunities as they become available
Position Requirements
• Ability to present campground interpretive programs and give nature walks
• Promote campground programs to campers
Professional Requirements
• Formal knowledge of interpretive principles and techniques
• Responsible and able to complete work in a timely fashion
• Evening and weekend schedule
• Able to present programs and walks with minimum supervision
• Must be a participant in the Master Naturalists Program through the Coconino County Extension Office.
A $20 fossil fuel stipend will likely be made available for travel to and from the vicinity of Flagstaff for each trip made by volunteers to the campgrounds, where programs will take place
