GCT Invasive Plant Education and Eradication

GCT staff and volunteers root out pesky invasives at Trust headquarters in 2005. The May 2006 effort should be slightly easier, but only slightly.
Join Grand Canyon Trust Staff and Volunteers for an afternoon weed pull around the grounds of the headquarters.
The weed pull will be preceeded by a weed identification and education talk by Coconino Extension Services' Wade Albrecht, and followed by a patio dinner provided by Grand Canyon Trust.

It is heartwarming to see the GCT staff has become sufficiently aware of noxious invasives to have guilt pangs over hosting th worst infestation in northern Flagstaff.

The weed lecture and weed pull will begin at 4pm and continue to aproximately 7:30pm.
If you want to help out but not stay for dinner, you can come and help without signing up. This will cause Kari and Maria to panic and pull their hair as they worry about having enough food, which is, of course, plenty entertaining.

Master Naturalist Bill Emig adds to the pile of plucked weed varmints. Others continue to pull weeds in the neighboring parcel of land.
