What Passes for Science in the Sunday Supp

Did anyone else notice this peculiar topic under the Science heading in the Sunday Supplement USA Weekend? ( Jan 13-15 2006) It looks like an article about the newly discovered planet UB313, nicknamed "Xena".
But look closely at the subtitle:

This Gannett publication, noted for its 1950's-meets-Stepford Wive's worldview, only occasionally tries to bring us science news beyond ads for "new and Improved" diet drugs. So perhaps it shouldn't be surprising that they would publish an Astrology article under the heading of Science. But I still find it disturbing that the editors cannot, or don't care to, make the distinction. Does this publication inform, or simply reflect the level of understanding of Americans? Either answer is is discouraging.
Should we expect to see articles under "Medicine" about Stork habitat and the possible impact on national birthrates?
