Saturday, June 17 - Sarah Lantz, leader
Sarah Lantz, with Arizona Game and Fish Department, will lead a field trip to Picture Canyon to share with us the reasons why this piece of state property should be preserved. Learn about plans that are underway to do just that, and also check out what birds are present as the nesting season begins to wind down. Young-of-the-year are likely to be traipsing after their parents and an accipiter seems always to make an appearance here.
Meet at the MacDonald's parking lot near Flagstaff Mall at 7 a.m. Return time no later than 11:00. Bring water, optics, sunscreen, and snacks.
