Flagstaff Stream Team Meetings

Crossing the Waters in Picture Canyon
The Stream Team will be meeting approximately every two weeks throughout the summer. The next scheduled meetings are Thursday August 10 and 24 from 3:30 to 4:30 PM in the Staff Conference room at City Hall, upstairs to left of the elevator.

The purpose of this volunteer work group is to assist the first ever citywide drainage master plan in the inventory and assessment of major wash corridors within the city limits. This team has no official status and is strictly on a volunteer basis subject to each person’s interest and availability to participate. The goal is to inventory all washes to identify their current condition along with an assessment and ranking of their value and importance for preservation or restoration.
City employees, members of other agencies and the general public that might be interested and willing to volunteer some time to assist in this inventory and assessment are invited. Expertise or experience with stream or river corridor assessments, riparian area inventory, and wildlife, recreational, cultural and open space values associated with stream corridors would be desirable but not required.

If you are interested in participating in the inventory of our stream corridors or have related information please attend one the meetings, or contact:
