Understanding Arizona's Riparian Areas

AZ Cooperative Extension Publication: Understanding Arizona's Riparian Areas

If you were lucky enough to get into the Riparian Workshop held in Flagstaff in February, you received a copy of the very handy ring-bound collection of riparian topics called "Understanding Arizona's Riparian Areas."

Eight articles by faculty of UA, ASU, and USDA research staff provide a quick reference to terminology and stream processes. They pay particular heed to the ephemeral and intermittent nature of our southwestern habitats, which are often given short shrift in other publications. In addition, this compendium includes an 8 page bibliography section that I will find useful for years.

Availability is limited, and you may be required to attend a future Riparian Workshop and pay a fee. If you want one of these very badly, contact Wade Albrecht, Master Naturalist Project, or Rob Emanuel, Master Watershed Steward Program.
