AZGFD 2007 Calendar Cover

With the holiday gift-giving season quickly approaching, you might consider buying the attractive, new 2007 Arizona Wildlife Calendar for some of the people on your gift list. The Arizona Game and Fish Department is selling the calendar, which features photos of Gambel's quail, pronghorn antelope, bobcats and more, for just $3.

Customers were asked to enter a photo contest, so the department could get the very best wildlife photos for the 2007 calendar. The response was overwhelming. A total of 116

photographers submitted more than 300 pictures. The calendar features wildlife and outdoor recreation photos each month, including a Harris's hawk in flight, an elk fawn in hiding, and a serene portrayal of the Sipe White Mountain Wildlife Area in eastern Arizona, just southeast of Eagar.

"The 2007 Arizona Wildlife Calendar is an exceptional collection of the variety of wildlife and outdoor activities Arizona has to offer," said Game and Fish Assistant Director of Wildlife Management Bruce Taubert. "It is the perfect holiday gift for the hunter, angler or wildlife lover on your shopping list."

Along with the breathtaking photographs, the calendar also provides a listing of approved Game and Fish season dates, as well as reminders about key wildlife events throughout the year.

On the inside cover, the calendar features wildlife-watching tips and a list of the many places where people can view the state's diverse wildlife. The calendar also includes a list of contact information for the department's seven offices across the state.

To purchase your calendar today, visit the Game and Fish Web site azgfd.gov/magazine, order by phone at (602) 942-3000 or buy one at any Arizona Game and Fish Department office.
