Cold Weather doesn't stop us! We will be scheduling walks throughout the winter and I will always be at the start point unless: It's very difficult to drive a car because of the existing road conditions. We never ask anybody to go out on bad roads! Here is our schedule for the next 7 days plus some additional information of interest.
Our friends, Steve and Lois Hirst will be involved in a book signing for their new publication"I Am The Grand Canyon: The Story of the Havasupai People" at the First Friday Art Walk on Friday, 1 December at Mountain Sports and again on Saturday, 2 December between 11AM and 1PM at the Museum of Northern Arizona.
Hold That Evening!!
We will be doing a walk along a part of the Luminaria Route in Coconino Estates
on Saturday 17 December. We have a previously scheduled walk on that date
(Kaspar Road FUTS) which will remain because I have that information out in to many places to attempt a reschedule.
The Kaspar Road FUTS starts at 3:00 PM and is about 3 miles. The Luminaria Walk
will begin at 6:00 PM from the Marshall School Parking Lot (corner of Thorpe Road and
Bonita).
You are invited to do one or the other - Or Both! I know I'll be there!
The Luminaria is in its 25th year in Flagstaff and our walk will take us among the glowing
candles to see a living nativity scene complete with carolers and lots of other Christmas
time night lighting features in the Coconino Estates neighborhood.
Many thanks to Abbie Gripman of the Arizona Daily Sun for providing the information about the Luminaria.
We don't have a walk scheduled for Saturday 2 December 2006
