
Flagstaff Trails Talk
On Wednesday, January 17th, Master Naturalists, Steve and Lois Hirst will be giving a talk based on the book "I Am The Grand Canyon - The Story Of The Havasupai People." Meet at McPherson Center, which is located at 1850 North Turquoise next to the Jay Lively Activity Center (Skating Rink) at 6:30 PM. One of the most spectacular canyons in the world, Steve and Lois will document their adventures amidst the Havasupai people and grandeur of Havasupai Canyon.

THURSDAY 11 JANUARY
Willow Bend Sustainable Living Series

Location: Willow Bend Environmental Education Center
703 East Sawmill Road (next to Sawmill Park off One Tree Road)
Time: 6:30 PM
Lisa Raynor, author of "Growing Food in the Southwest Mountains" is the
guest speaker.
Unfortunately, I have a Flagstaffbiking.org board meeting on that date and time
and will be unable to attend. Lisa is a friend of mine and knows a lot about
growing food in the Flagstaff Area. The series is free!
SUNDAY 14 JANUARY
Walk The Walk
The Weatherford Till Road
Start Location: In the "Y" parking area where Schultz Pass Road
and Mountain Elden Road separate.
Time: 3:00 PM
Interesting historical area of Flagstaff around Schultz Creek where the Weatherford Toll road
started, the old Flagstaff golf course was located and the Beale Wagon and Moqui Stage Coach
Road both passed through. A major trail terminus for Flagstaff of the Rocky Ridge, Schultz Creek,
and Arizona Trails are located. About 3 miles (total)
MONDAY 15 JANUARY

Murdock Center
Start Location: Flagstaff City Hall
211 West Aspen
Time: 3:00 PM
We'll walk over to the Murdock Center through the historic SouthSide of
Flagstaff past several important local sites.
