Flagstaff Walk the Walk Events

Walk the Walk group on a recent Picture Canyon Walk

The following is the Flagstaff Pedestrian Committee"Walk the Walk" schedule for the next 7 days. We've included this week because of both the excellent walks and talks! If you are interested in every walk and talk, take Jack Welch up on his offer. While you are doing that, please think about taking him up on his plea for new blood (see below) on city committees.

SATURDAY 31 MARCH
Walk The Walk
Keyhole Sink
Start Location: Trailhead is located on Old Route 66 west of Parks, AZ.
From Flagstaff: Go west on I-40 to the Parks Exit #178
Go right and at Old Route 66 turn left
Go through Parks for about 4 miles
Park in the Oak Hill Snow Play Area which is located
directly across from the Keyhole Sink Trailhead
(On Old Route 66)
Time: 5:00 PM 5:00 PM
A short hike but well worth it - This 2+ mile roundtrip hike is
to a water hole that includes cliff side rock art sites.

SUNDAY 1 APRIL
Walk The Walk
Start Location: Ft Tuthill parking area where the FUTS (coming
from Wal-Mart) connects to the County Park
Time: 3:00 PM 3:00 PM 3:00 PM
An out and back 5 + mile total hike that takes us the Sinclair
Wash dam
located along Wood Mountain Road.

Tuesday, 10 April at Noon at the Riordan State Park

Flagstaff Pedestrian Advisory Committee Meeting
Monday, 2 April 2007 at 4:30 PM in City Hall upstairs in the
Glass enclosed Room
This committee is a part of the Flagstaff Traffic Commission and
need a few new members. If interested please contact Jack Welch
