Flagstaff will be the host location of the International Canon Envirothon from 28 July through 3 August 2008, and they need Master Naturalists and Master Watershed Stewards to volunteer!
Volunteer opportunities include the following: registration, public affairs,testing, education,monitoring,transportation, student and coach activities, hospitality, and more.
The central location for the event will be the new NAU Convention Center. The local event host is the Willow Bend Environmental Center, a wholly owned subsidiary of the Coconino Natural Resource Conservation District, located at Sawmill Park County Park.

The state-level competition to see who will represent Arizona in 2008 will be held 28-29 March in two locations in Cottonwood, Clemenceau School and Deadhorse State Park. Envirothons are well organized, and the schedule includes volunteer training. The 2007 Envirothon was held at the Hobart & Smith Colleges, Geneva, New York from 29 July through 4 August. The team representing Arizona, from Cienega High School, came in 17th out of 54 teams.
