Introduction to Permaculture Workshop
Join Josh Robinson and Lisa Rayner for a weekend workshop on permaculture, Saturday, Aug. 27 and Sunday, Aug. 28 at Coconino Community College. Permaculture is a practice that applies the principles of natural ecosystems to agriculture, gardening and living in order to develop food production systems and human habitats that are in harmony with nature.
Day: Saturday, Aug. 27 and Sunday, Aug. 28
Time: 8:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m.
Cost: Cost is $56 for in-state residents
Place: Lone Tree campus, 4th Street Campus and on-site at permaculture design sites in Flagstaff

Permaculture ethics and design principles
Designing for a world of energy descent & ecological collapse
Bioregional design for the Colorado Plateau
Ecological principles as applied to permaculture design
Developing your observation, site analysis & site design skills
Designing for small-scale urban/suburban & larger scale landscapes
Field trips to Flagstaff permaculture sites & hands-on practice
Influence of social, political and economic factors on design/using the principles of permaculture to redesign economies, governments, educational systems and other large-scale social structures
