Juniper Street Community Garden Cleanup Day and Potluck

When: Saturday, April 29, 10 a.m. to 2 p.m.

Where: On the corner of Juniper Street and San Francisco St. behind the duplex.

What: Come help us pull weeds, pick up trash, organize the tool shed, sift compost, etc. I am hoping that people in our neighborhood (NoHo — North of the Hospital) who don’t have a plot also attend. Juniper Street Garden is a good location for neighborhood get-togethers. Please forward this e-mail to others who live in our neighborhood or who just like community gardening!

If you have a plot at Juniper Street, this is also a good time to plant cool weather seeds (root vegetables, leafy greens, peas, mint family and carrot family herbs like dill and oregano) if you want to be at the garden in the company of others. Aged manure and compost will be available for adding to your plots.
