In April CCC will present it's annual Xeriscape Classes.

Xeriscape I Concepts and Principles

Xeriscape II Soils, Mulch and Compost

Understand your soil, the magic of mulch and the basics of composting.

Xeriscape III Water Management

Learn efficient water use through proper irrigation, utilizing alternative water sources and more.

Xeriscape IV: Plant Selection

Examine plant selection for the many varied habitats found in and around Flagstaff.
Fees for each class are $25

Plant Walk & Medicine Making
Saturday, May 10, 9:00 am - 5:00 pm
Lone Tree Campus, Room 510, carpool to Cave Springs Campground
Instructor: Mike Masek
Learn about medicinal herbs and how to identify local healing plants. Make tinctures, balms and salves in the afternoon.
Fee $60

Container Gardening
Saturday, June 7, 9:00 am - 12:00 pm
Lone Tree Campus, Room 513
Instructor: Loni Shapiro
Container gardens fo small and large spaces will be domonstrated with emphasis on advantages for use in Flagstaff. Ideas include successful flower combinatons, vegetables and herbs. Bring a trowel and gloves so you can create in the dirt for the last hour of the class.
