MNA Invasive Weed Pull

Here is a last minute opportunity to help out the Museum of Northern Arizona. This activity includes a tour of Coyote Range Grounds and snacks or a light lunch.
Date: Sunday, July 20
Time: 9 AM
Where: Meet at the Museum's front desk
Help the Museum of Northern Arizona remove invasive weeds from Coyote Range forest and meadow areas near Historic Colton House, home of the Museum's founders. Meet at the front desk of the Museum's exhibit building at 3101 N Fort Valley Road (Hwy 180) at 9 a.m. on Sunday, July 20 and caravan to the site, which is 1/4 mile away.

Volunteers are welcome to stay for any length of time. Anyone wishing to arrive in the afternoon is welcome to call 814-3780 for a progress report, to see if this activity is still ongoing. Targeted weeds include ragweed, toadflax and foxtail grass. The Museum will provide black plastic bags for the weeds and following this work will take the weeds to the County's incinerator (open-air destructor) at the County Yard.
