Olivia White Hospice Garden July Workday and Weed Pull
On July 26th from 9am-12pm our monthly Saturday workday at Olivia White Hospice Home will happen. Items on the to-do list include:
Weeding
Deadheading
General cleaning in preparation for the Garden Party 8/17
We have also scheduled an invasive weed pull. The surrounding property has many new toadflax, bind weed, ragweed, and Dutch elm seedlings about ready to go to seed. If not removed they spread to our gardens creating an increased workload for our limited crew.
We will provide tools and bags for hauling to the county incinerator. We also have water and snacks available. Come for any or all of that time to help us remove invasive weeds.
Parking is not available at the home (reserved for resident families) so park in the 1st Congregational Church lot on Turquoise just past Switzer Canyon Drive.
