Opening Day Arboretum at Flagstaff

Wednesday, April 1, from 9:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m.
Free Admission
We welcome visitors of all ages to come and celebrate "Opening Day" at The Arboretum, free of charge. At 11:00 a.m. and 1:00 p.m. visitors can enjoy a guided tour of the gardens led by Executive Director, Steve Yoder. The "Live Birds of Prey" program, which includes "on the fist" demonstrations and dramatic "free flight" shows, will be offered at 12:00 and 2:00 p.m.
"Arb-Inspired Art", a collection of botanical illustrations by Deborah Shepard, an Arboretum docent, is featured in the Visitor's Center. Her artwork is based on various plants found at The Arboretum. This exhibit is on display through May and the illustrations are available for purchase in the gift shop.
After a year of rebuilding, there is a children's maze again at The Arboretum. The design was inspired by tree rings that are so prominent in ponderosa pines. The new maze is located near the Education Center.
Come enjoy a lifetime of memories, family fun and an enjoyable educational experience all in one day, FREE OF CHARGE!
