Arbor Day at the Arboretum at Flagstaff

A Celebration of Trees

Arbor Day at The Arboretum is FREE to the public all day Saturday, April 25 from 9:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m., with special programs:

9:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. "Links of Life" Exhibit in the Education Center

10:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. Activities for Children (Handmade paper-Pine needle weaving-Invasive weed scavenger hunt

11:00 a.m. Tour: General Tour of the gardens with Executive Director, Steve Yoder

Noon Live Birds of Prey demonstrations

1:00 p.m. Tour: General Tour of the gardens with Executive Director, Steve Yoder

2:00 p.m. Live Birds of Prey demonstrations

A new, interactive exhibit, "Links of Life", will be on display in the Education Center. Learn about the connection between plants and birds of prey. Find out why it is so important to limit pesticide and chemical use in landscaping. The exhibit features hands-on activities and specimens on loan from the Biology Department at Northern Arizona University.

Visitors will have the opportunity to purchase trees to plant at their home. Or as a donation to The Arboretum, visitors can plant their tree in the gardens, where we will care for it so that you and other guests can see it for years to come. Help to make an investment in the future... plant a tree!
