Women's Shelter Work Day
We are holding monthly volunteer landscaping work days at the Northland Family Help Center's Women's Shelter, the third Saturday of every mouth through October.
We will meet this Saturday, April 18th, from 9:00 am to noon. Last month we got started on the thistles. There will probably be a few more rearing their heads but they should still be in the cute stage rather than the monstrosities we dealt with last year.
We are having a planning meeting at the shelter, on Wed, April 22, at 5:00 pm. Some of the staff will be there as well as we can start prioritizing not only what the facility and the grounds need but also what would be fun and enjoyable gardening for the clients and staff. I look forward to seeing as many of you as can participate. Please let Linda Chan know if you can make it or call for directions.
