MNA.jpg

MNA/Colton Community Garden Volunteer Day

Saturday May 9th
9:00 a.m. - 3:00 p.m.
Colton Community Garden

Join Museum of Northern Arizona staff and volunteers as we prepare our research seedbeds, youth and community gardens for the upcoming growing season. The work accomplished in research seed beds will further the ongoing efforts to produce a sustainable source of native local seed for use by regional land agencies for restoration purposes. As partners with the United States Forest Service and the Arboretum at Flagstaff in the Northern Arizona Native Plant Materials Program, the Museum of Northern Arizona is working to restore Northern Arizona lands with Northern Arizona seeds.

Refreshments will be provided!!!

What to bring: work clothes, close-toed shoes, sun hat, sunscreen, lunch, and work gloves.

How to get there: Head North on Fort Valley like you're heading to the museum. Turn right off of Fort Valley following signs to Peaks Senior Living Community. Go straight instead of turning into the Peaks. Driveway will end in "T." Park at end of T or in lot on left.
