WCET WOW Award

Online Nursing PhD Program at the University of Arizona received the 2005 WCET WOW Award. The second annual WCET Outstanding Work (WOW) award were chosen from among dozens of nominations. Responding to the critical shortage of Nursing faculty, the University created the first fully-online Nursing PhD program to be offered by a research-intensive university.

Bruce Cameron, Instructional Design Specialist with the Learning Technologies Center, was instrumental in creating the nation's first totally online nursing PhD program for the University of Arizona's Nursing School. Recognized as the primary instructional designer, Bruce was recently on hand in San Francisco to receive the prestigious W.O.W. Award.
