OSCR Underground IT Help Desk

OSCR Underground Help Desk (ILC Room 136) provides FREE technology assistance for personally-owned student desktop or laptop computers and peripheral devices. OSCR

Students can receive computing help desk assistance through appointments or as a walk-in service. During the fall semester, appointments are available Monday, Wednesday and Friday with walk-in service provided on a first-come, first-served basis every Tuesday and Thursday.

Help is available for:

* general computing questions
* MAC address registration
* virus/spyware removal
* software configuration
* hardware troubleshooting
* purchase recommendations
* computing security
* wireless network issues
* using the NAC (Network Access Control).

Students get the unique opportunity, while at their service appointment, to see what is done to resolve their problems and how they can maintain their own systems in the future.

Additionally, do-it-yourself handouts are available on a variety of topics, from finding a network/MAC address to installing and configuring Sophos Anti-virus for optimum protection. These handouts can be picked up at the OSCR Underground Help Desk or downloaded from our website.
