Heather Lares assumes Media Services leadership
The Learning Technologies Center has a new leader in Media Services.
Heather Lares, a Tucson native, takes over after founding manager Jeff Imig moves on to a new legal career. We wish Jeff the best of luck and greatest success in his new life.
Heather has worked for the Center since November 2002. After her 1999 graduation with a UA Bachelor of Fine Arts degree, Heather has independently produced four short documentaries and worked on various freelance video productions.
She plans to build on the past successes of the Media Services group.
“I hope to transition some of our video services into more interesting and interactive instructional videos,” Lares says, “such as taping live science lab experiments and creating videos that enable instructors to engage students in an innovative way.
“We would also like to produce additional promotional videos for campus departments and services. One of my large goals is to revamp the Searchable Video Library with a new design/look and possibly change content delivery method.”
So, join us in welcoming Heather Lares, who technically was already here, as our new Manager of Media Services.
