April is Digital Audio Month

This month's workshops include:

GarageBand and Pro Tools.

Our newest audio workshop is Studio-in-a-box. Come learn how to prepare for, set-up and complete an audio recording session using OSCR's Studio-in-a-box. Micing, mixing, and production skills will be covered. Completion of this workshop along with Faculty sponsorship qualifies you for a two week checkout of Studio-in-a-box.

Back by popular demand we have U-system Web Accounts and Dreamweaver Basics as well as Photoshop Basics (print emphasis).

You will see that we have thrown in some Flash Interface and Animation workshops (as requested). And we are putting the finishing touches on our New InDesign workshop so keep your eye out for it on our workshop web page.

Marvin Landis from CCIT's Research Computing is offering tours of the CAVE (Cave Advanced Visualization Environment) known as AZ-LIVE. This is your chance to step into the three dimensional, computer generated world where you can fly over the tops of buildings or take a peek at the inner workings of the human heart. What are you waiting for?

See a listing of times and dates and register for all workshops on our Workshops webpage.

Our regular workshops are usually two hours in length and are hands-on. Tool-a-Hoops are generally one hour in length and are lecture-style. In a "Top 5 Open Forum Discussions" workshop we will cover five highlights of a hardware device and then open up the floor for audience participation.

And about those free t-shirts...
During Spring 2007 semester we will be giving away two free t-shirts at every OSCR workshop. All you gotta do is be the smart kid in the class who can answer a question about the program you just learned about. It's fun!

As always we take requests, so if you don't see what you need, when you need it, let us know!
