It's Digital Imaging month at OSCR
It's March and we've got Spring fever like crazy!
It's Digital Imaging month and that means Photoshop! We have been talking about redoing our Photoshop workshops for many semesters now. This semester, we are actually doing it.
Keep your eye out for these great workshops:
- Photoshop Basics - A one hour introduction to the interface and a few key tools.
- Photoshop for Photography - Do you have photos laying around that need some touch up?
- Photoshop for Graphic Design - Is your club working with images for your latest newsletter?
We will be scheduling test runs of all of these. We call them "validations." If you see one scheduled and would like to get a sneak preview, come on down and take a seat. You may want to call first as these validation sessions can get rescheduled quickly.

In addition to our regularly scheduled workshops, OSCR is also offering "validation" sessions for new workshops. In a validation, we test the content of the course to make sure it works. We invite
you to join us at validations! We can't promise they will be are smoothest workshops, but they're a great chance to get a sneak preview of our new material.
There is no need to register for validations, in fact, you can't as they will show up as "Closed" or "Full".
Here's how you can tell whether you are looking at a validation or a regular workshop on the schedule:
- Go to our Workshop Schedule.
- Mouse over the block that indicates the workshop. A hover window will appear. In the hover window, a validation will always show as "closed" and will have a note at the bottom that identifies the session as a validation.
- You are not required to register for a validation. Just come on down! However, if the session sounds interesting and you would like to see when else it is being offered, click on the block that identifies the workshop.
- Clicking on the block takes you to the registration page. Validations will always show as "FULL," and there's no need to register. Read through the description to see the specific dates of validations. Other workshops that show up as "FULL" that are not noted as validation are workshops for classes.
- Regular or Open workshops will have a "register" link at the right if seats are available. If one of these regular sessions works for you, click to sign up! And, if none of the scheduled workshops works with your schedule, just get in touch with us and let us know when you would like the workshop offered. We'll do our best to help you out!
We are also redoing our Digital Video Camera workshops. Looks for validation sessions for a sneak preview.
You can register online for any workshop.
And, yes it's true, WE TAKE REQUESTS!
