And Now for Something Completely Different! The Magic of Laughter with Tom Potter
We will kick off this year’s Showcase with something different. Our keynote address will be given by Tom Potter. The Magic of Laughter is a hilarious and thought-provoking look at the social, psychological, emotional, and physical benefits of laughter.
Tom Potter is an award-winning comedy magician who has opened for Jay Leno and appeared is such films as The Skeleton Key, Nouveau Monde, and Fool's Gold. Tom specializes in corporate entertainment, but also has appeared in comedy clubs and the Las Vegas Strip.
Tom is a graduate of and former instructor at the UA and has experience as a motivational speaker, but with the twist of doing so with a great sense of humor.
So before we get down to the serious business of technology and teaching, we’ll start off with a laugh. The keynote is co-sponsored this year by the Well University Partnership. For information on the health benefits of laughter see Humor, Laughter and Health.
