A post today to the IMAGELIB listserv points readers to Yale's McClintock glass latern collection. "Walter McClintock began documenting the Blackfoot community of northwestern Montana in the late 1890s. Over the next twenty years, McClintock made several thousand photographs of the Blackfoot and their homelands."
Take five minutes and browse or search the collection. Look a little closer at the entire collection that Yale's Beinecke Rare Book and Manuscript Library provides through its Digital Library. Just a marvelous example of what a library can (and should) be doing to make its rare and special collections available to all.
